Our RTW 22-23 Trip

Four or five years ago we hatched a plan to sell many of our worldly goods and spend a year circling the globe. We discovered that one can purchase around the world airfare at very reasonable prices. There are a myriad number of rules that apply, so it takes a bit of time to master the process. Once that is done, it all falls into place. Fifteen stops in a year, while not circling back over an ocean. This trip was to have taken place in 2020, shortly after our daughter graduated from college, but that plan was upended by the worldwide Covid pandemic. Consequently, it has been pushed back several times. Fortunately, it appears now that the coast is clear and we can begin our journey.

 
We encourage all of you to take a look at our Google map that lays out a menu of places we may visit and things we may do. Anyone following our progress is invited to join us in their location of choice. If you decide to meet us somewhere, please give us enough time to work out all the logistics involved. We would love to have visitors along the way!

 
We will be posting blog entries and photos as we go. We look forward to your comments, questions and travel advice at each stop. 

We will have a full complement of tech gear with us, so communications should work well. Most places we plan to visit will have adequate Wi-Fi and we will purchase a local SIM. If you attempt to contact us, please check your world clock before contacting.
